Tasting - The Diddler

The Diddler
Merkin Vineyards
2017
White Table Wine
Wilcox, Arizona
$27.00 a bottle, but I tried this wine at The Sedona Wine Fest

Wine Searchers tasting notes: "Indicative blend: Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malvasia Bianca. Ranked among the top 10 wines from this region with respect to number of prizes won: the 2014 vintage was awarded Silver from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. This is the second highest-priced wine produced from Rare White Blend in Arizona. The price has been stable over the past year. We can only find a few stores in America that have this wine. We have only been able to find the 2014 vintage for sale over the last month."

Here is another wine that I tried at The Sedona Wine Fest! Boy oh boy did we try a lot of wines and this wine was actually from a vineyard named Merkin Vineyards. Maynard James Keenan is the owner and winemaker of this vineyard and he is the Grammy-award winning vocalist from the band Tool. This white was a golden color with subtle smells. Even though the smells were subtle I picked up on fruity smells like apple and pineapple. The wine wasn't my favorite wine, but it had good flavors. It was a tart and crisp wine with flavors of apple, pineapple, and maybe a hint of honeysuckle. This wine has an alcohol content of 13.5% and it was yummy.
